Cornerstar Grand Opening

Several New Local and National Retailers Arrive to Parker and Arapahoe Roads

Aurora, CO- October 9, 2008– A whole new concept in convenience is opening on Parker and Arapahoe Roads on Friday, October 10, 2008. Cornerstar, a 158-acre, diverse, shopping and dining community, located at the intersection of Arapahoe and Parker Roads, will host grand opening festivities on Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All weekend, customers can explore Cornerstar, visit the new retailers and restaurants as well as mingle with friends and neighbors as they interact with live entertainment and enjoy a variety of fall fare.

The grand opening of the 685,000 square-foot, shopping destination will feature several new stores including Sun Flower Market, Target, Best Buy, 24 Hour Fitness, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Home Goods, Biondi Jewelers, Pacific Dental and many more. The busy consumer can now shop even closer to home, completing everyday tasks such as grocery shopping at the gourmet market or spending quality time with their family at restaurants such as Real de Minas Mexican Restaurant, Famous Dave’s BBQ, Red Robin, Cheddars, Tokyo Joe’s and Daphne’s Greek Café to name a few.

“With the grand opening of Cornerstar, shoppers can take advantage of the convenient location of the center and having major retailers in the neighborhood,” said Don Provost, principal of Alberta Development Partners, LLC.

The weekend’s entertainment will include face painters, balloon artists, a magician, stilt walkers and human statues as well as food sampling for all shoppers. Giveaways such as jewelry pieces from Biondi Jewelers, one year memberships to 24 Hour Fitness, blue tooth headsets from AT&T and gift cards from select retailers are just be some of the prizes shoppers can win. Tickets to Coldplay, Celine Dion and the Colorado Avalanche will also be given away to Cornerstar shoppers courtesy of KALC (105.9), KIMN (100.3) and KWLI (92.5) who will be broadcasting live at the site on Saturday and Sunday.

The Grand Opening Festivities will conclude on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 with the official ribbon cutting ceremony held at Cornerstar on East Briarwood Circle and Cornerstar Way. Festivities begin at 10 a.m.
